My monitors are 2x4k monitors at 60FPS; both are portrait oriented and next to each other on the same dual-monitor mount. This can be a bit of a pain for playing games, since many apps (I think Unity-based ones?) even in window mode force you into a portrait resolution if your base monitor configuration is in portrait.

I have an APC Back-UPS 700 uninterruptible power supply, so that if the power goes out unexpectedly I’ll have time to shut down safely. I use a Steelseries Arctis 9, because its wireless dongle allows for pretty much instant connection and audio switchover to the headset. (It also allows crossfading between game VS chat, though I don’t use that functionality much.)

I use an Elgato Stream Deck and two Key Light Minis; my webcam is a Razer Kiyo Pro. A lot of what’s perceived as “low quality” in a webcam is poor lighting conditions. These are all easily repositioned as needed since they’re connected to SmallRig Magic Arms and clamps. My mouse is an MX Master 3; the scroll wheel switching between ratcheting mode when moved slowly and a free-wheeling mode when spun with a flick is an amazing experience which would be very hard to sacrifice. I do wish their vertical mouse had the same kind of scroll wheel, since I’d be more likely to try it out.

My keyboard is an Akko 3084, a compact 84-key keyboard without a numpad - I’ve never really learned to use a numpad at speed, and I rarely do direct data entry, so I don’t really need it. I used to use a Keychron K6 (68 keys) but found myself missing the function key row on occasion. The 3084 is always plugged in via USB, even though it technically has a bluetooth pairing mode; when used for the first time in a while in bluetooth mode, there is a substantial input delay and it doesn’t buffer any keys input before it properly connected.

I am now using a Synology DS1621+ for regular backups; once a day an incremental backup is taken with Active Backup for Business. This uses Windows’ Shadow Copy service, so only changes on the block level are saved and sent; this means an incremental backup for a new day is usually only a few gigabytes due to temp folders changing.

The internals of my PC? Mostly irrelevant to me. So long as it has enough resources to run everything I want to, the specifics of it don’t concern me. The input/output streams are the critical part of my computer usage, not specific specs.
